Patrick + Azia have got to be one of our most laid back couples.

When we arrived the girls were just sitting around watching hair being braided, talking about high school swimming competitions and later huddling together to watch a video clip of Robin Williams. As for the guys they sat in a circle dressed in their suits, playing cards. It did not feel like a wedding day at all but it was such a perfect day.

The Casino San Clemente Wedding

A lot of family were coming from Japan and they told us that part of the reason for choosing to get married at The Casino in San Clemente was because of its perfect location right next to the beach – to sort of show what California is all about. Sun, surf and palm trees! More California elements really showed in the invitations that Azia designed herself where she included poppies the California flowers, blueberries and the “California Grizzly Bear” design. To tie that all in together poppies were included in her flower bouquet and they even had blueberries set out on the tables.

It was small, simple details but it just showed how much thought was put into it and everything came together beautifully. Victoria and her team from A Good Affair did such an amazing job putting it all together. She was the one who connected us with these two and we could not have been more appreciative.

We didn’t get to spend as much time with these two before their wedding but we definitely made sure we spent a lot of time with them day of and it was our favorite.

When we pulled them away during the reception and snuck off towards the beach during sunset they actually thanked us because our time with them was the only time they had to themselves all day. And you know it was so nice hearing that. These two are just the sweetest couple.
