Your photos are essentially your very first heirloom together. We know good and well you can order prints and albums yourself but there is so much to be said about the quality of the albums and prints we offer. This is going to last for generations, far longer than the latest technology. Don't half fast this part.

the design process
no more holding off and not having this until your 10th year anniversary. we try to make this as quick and as stress free as possible for you! choosing images from hundreds can be daunting, so we start everything off for you and afterwards you can make any and all changes that you want. as long as you continue to communicate with us quickly, designing to proofs to ordering should only take 2-3 weeks and within a month you should have this bad boy in your hands.
01. let us know you want an album!
we'll send you an album form to fill out choosing style, size, pages, other options. send payment.
02. album design
afterwards we'll send you a proof of the album for you to approve and make any changes - including layout design and/or any image changes.
03. draft changes
we'll make any changes you request and send you another proof for you to look over and approve. we can go back and forth 3 times making changes. after 3 rounds of changes there will be an additional fee of $100 per set (but we’ve never had to charge this as everything always looks great after 1-2 rounds)
04. stamp of approval
after any changes, we'll send you the final draft to sign off on. you review and give the thumbs up that it’s ready for print. once you do we order the album.
05. it'll take 4-6 weeks to receive the album
until then sit back, relax, get ready to stop looking at your photos on your phone.
faq
How many spreads should we add?
Here are the facts:
- The Classic are thiiick pages so if you go to the max number of spreads offered know that it's going to be a big hefty book. Beautiful either way in our opinion.
- The Modern we love when this has more pages. Since the pages in this album does not layflat you lose design in the middle — so designing the layout to fit more images onto a spread is more of a challenge here. With more spreads added this one is better with only 1-2 images a spread, lending more to the look of an art book which we just love.
We design your album to tell the overall narrative of the day. We don't fill the pages with 20 photos, we like to keep it simple and minimal without compromising the story of your wedding. In the end it's preference / budget and we work with whatever you decide!
How many images will go into the album?
Honestly, we don't put a number on the quantity of images. We design each album organically. Going through the day trying to put your story together. Like we mentioned above we keep the layouts simple, clean and minimal - think of a Vogue magazine layout. On average each page will have 1-4 images. When designed at the minimum spreads included, typically about 80+ images go into the album. The more spreads you include, the more images we'll be able to include.
How do you / we select the images that go into the album?
Previously we left it to the couple to choose all the images. But we found that either it was too overwhelming for them and they ended up dragging their feet to decide and/or the images chosen were choppy and it didn't allow the story to flow through the album. So now we start the design by choosing our favorites. From there we'll send you the draft and you can add/remove/replace any images that you prefer.
Although it is important to tell the story of the day, don't feel like every single person / event / moment needs to be added. These are your absolute favorite images that are being included in the album. Remember this is an heirloom. Group photographs are mostly for family history purposes. You don’t need every single combination we took on the day in the book. One nice photograph of the whole family, perhaps on each side is all you really need. Same goes for the wedding party.
In the end no image will go into your album without your approval. If there are any images that you absolutely love and must be included let us know right from the start by submitting your favorites through your personal gallery (just click that heart icon in your gallery and let us know!)
How do we let you know which images we for sure want to be included in the album?
The best way to select the images is to log in to your gallery. Once in your gallery, you can pick your selection by adding each image to your favorites by using the “Favorite” button / love heart symbol icon. Once you have made the final selection, email us to let us know and we'll be sure to include those images.
How do we make changes to the album design?
We will do a draft layout to what we think looks good and tells the story of the day. Once we're done we will upload the proof online and send you the information to view. From there you'll be able to view your draft layout online and make comments directly onto the website about any changes you would like made. This is the best time to be honest, if you don’t like the page at all, tell us. Don’t worry we won't be offended if you don’t like it - this if for you, this is your heirloom so don't hesitate to voice any changes you might prefer. Once you're done adding your comments, we will make all the necessary changes and re-upload your new layout. From there we'll do it all over again - you comment for any changes and we'll send you another proof. You get three opportunities to make changes. After that, each additional set of changes will cost $100 - but rest assured this has never happened, everything typically looks good after the second draft.
