William + Raquel

Serra On Vine Wedding

a wedding celebration back in the city where they met and fell in love.

They met at a music festival. He was with a friend while she was there, by herself, dancing, without a care in the world. They became the best of friends, bonding over their love of music. Until that bond grew into something more, with him sharing his feelings and her realizing she felt the same.

William + Raquel planned this wedding in less than 3.5 months. Even with some tough personal things happening in between that time they still wanted the focus to be a celebration of happiness and their love—and you could not only see but feel how much they poured themselves in every detail, big and small.

It was the weekend before Halloween and with that being one of Raquel’s favorite time of the year, they really wanted to lean into it, but not in a cheesy, cliche way. They wanted sophisticated, dark, moody, gothic forest vibes. Capturing the mystery of fall and creating a witchy, celestial wedding. We thought we knew what they were envisioning but it was so much more than all those adjectives. After the fact Raquel described their wedding as an otherworldly fever dream, and in the best way possible, it was.

Serra On Vine in Los Angeles was the perfect spot for this wedding. The ceremony taking place outdoors with a custom moon shape backdrop surrounded with a mix of candles, dry florals, and dark flowers. And then indoors for the reception creating that atmospheric celestial vibe they really wanted, with moss, mushroom, and skull details, a smoke machine, and starry lights. Can we say enough how wonderful this wedding was?
