They both lived in New York at the same time. Their lives orbiting each other—going to the same gym, having the same friends but never meeting—until the timing was inevitable. Until they were both looking for climbing partners and mutual friends introduced them.

It was an overcast summer day by the beach. But that didn’t matter because their smiles were brighter than the sun. Friends from their climbing days were there, surfer buddies too, family from Hawaii made it, all to celebrate Ryan and Alyssa. It was a giggly emotionally joy-filled day that we can’t even begin to explain how happy that we were to bear witness to it all.
