Cavallo Point Wedding

The first thing we saw as we walked into their room at Cavallo Point Lodge was the view of the Golden Gate Bridge. (The next day, they told us, it was completely covered in fog! We got lucky.) The kids ran around, only stopping to pet the trembling chihuahua who tried hiding from them, Emily's sisters busy getting the tea ready, and Emily, quietly sitting looking out at the view as her hair was touched up.

This wasn't their first plan. Nor their second or third. The date, the venue, everything changed, multiple times. It was also a much smaller wedding than they originally planned — but in the end just as, if not more, meaningful and beautiful.

The morning started with a wedding tea ceremony in the room with their immediate family. Afterwards Emily changed into her wedding dress just as the sun broke through the gray skies. The winds came just as their outdoor wedding ceremony on the lawn finished and then it was a sunny lunch reception on the balcony porch of the lodge. We ended the day with photos right near the Golden Gate Bridge. With Alan and Emily both smiling.
