Big Sur
After stopping through Santa Cruz and Ben Lomond we headed to our destination: Big Sur. We have yet to go to Big Sur in the summer, which we have no doubt is just as beautiful, but oh how we love the quiet that is there during the winter months. The wet dirt, the fog that rolls in at night, the crisp air, the bare trees with a few Autumn leaves still hanging on tightly. And when it rains, that is especially our favorite.
We celebrated here after our wedding so for our anniversary we came back and stayed at the same cabin in Glen Oaks Bug Sur. It’s a splurge for us but so perfect for relaxing. Hopefully this year we can try camping or maybe, I don’t know, shoot a wedding here. Seriously, c’mon guys plan a wedding/elopement/session in Big Sur and call us. It is so beautiful here.
THE exact moment rain drops started to fall. We were so!excited! We were counting down to when it would start raining. It really wouldn’t have been the same for us if it hadn’t.
On our way home from Big Sur we stopped by the almond trees. Remember this and how it looks like when it’s blooming, what a difference in season.
