Hector + Eduardo
440 Seaton Wedding
industrial warehouse wedding in los angeles.
The guests were all seated waiting for the ceremony to start. The murmurs getting louder as the anticipation grew.
Then Macklemore’s voice came on the speakers. Loud and clear.
When I was in the third grade I thought that I was gay
The chatter instantly slowed and lowered until it was silent and all you could hear were the words to the song.
And I can’t change
Even if I tried
Even if I wanted to
My love
In the back, in one corner Hector stood, tears streaming down his face, shoulders shaking. All morning he had been cool and collected. Hair cut running late, organizing last minute seating arrangements, none of that really fazed him. It was only until that moment, minutes from walking down the aisle, he let it sink in.
As the song ended, Hector and Eduardo walked towards each other meeting in the middle. Eyes holding one another, cheeks glistening with tears. Grabbing for each other’s hands and walking down the aisle together.
There are moments in some weddings when it hits you. That you are doing more than just taking photos. You are part of two people’s dreams. Finding the love they weren’t sure about and sharing a moment they thought would never happen.
I might not be the same, but that’s not important
No freedom ’til we’re equal, damn right I support it
So proud to have been part of this wedding. And we are pretty dang excited to have this featured on Junebug Weddings today HERE
