Los Angeles Fall Elopement

Nick+Lauren

2020 has dealt a lot of cards to everyone. Personally, financially, mentally, this has been quite the year. For Nick and Lauren here, they had huge plans for their wedding beginning of next year but with the ongoing pandemic they started to realize their big wedding might not be feasible. More cards were dealt to them so they decided to hold off on the big wedding and do an elopement first. Something small and intimate. Close family only. On Halloween, their favorite holiday. Then they got dealt with even more cards.

All plans A, B, and C were scrapped.

But there was still Halloween and there was still the opportunity to take some photos. So their planner Emilee of Tasteful Tatters decided to set up the sweetest Fall inspired tablescape in the middle of woods for them. Gathering pinecones from the ground, spreading pumpkins and pecans and dead leaves on the table, the colors of Fall spilling everywhere.

It was a nice time to celebrate life. To take time to put aside all worry and sadness and simply appreciate that above everything happening, there is still love and hope.

We had a whole cute session with these two frolicking in the woods which we’ll share in a Part II post. For now we just wanted to share some of the tablescape details just in time before Thanksgiving to maybe give you some ideas for your own feast.

If you’re still wanting more tablescape inspiration, last year we shared photos from a Friendsgiving dinner that Emilee also beautifully designed. See that HERE.
