Virginia

Living in California, where lately it seems like it’s been an endless summer, we always get so excited when we get to travel somewhere colder. Like when we traveled to Virginia for this wedding we were so looking forward to cool temps and the picturesque fall colored trees. Of course when we arrived all we saw were green trees. Cue sad trombone sound.

Still though there were gray skies and on our last morning we woke up to a blanket of fog — and oh if you didn’t know, fog is just one of our dream visions to shoot in (which recently happened during this session and surely did not disappoint).

Driving through the long winding roads of Virginia we felt like we were driving through a scene from one of those 1000 piece landscape puzzles. Add in the southern charm style houses with their porches and endless land, it was all so picturesque and serene. We really wanted to drive through Blue Ridge mountains while we were there but didn’t have enough time…next time ;)
